I have a complicated relationship with the men’s movement. I suspect many women do. However, the reason for my complicated relationship with the men’s movement is likely different from that of most women: I presented as a man for twenty-nine years. And, for almost the entirety of those twenty-nine years, I believed that men were systematically disadvantaged in ways that women were not.
